Question by LaDeeDa: Dog DNA testing has anyone tried it?
I have been very curious to try one of these Dog DNA tests on both my dogs. Just out of curiosity and for fun. I have my ideas on what my dogs maybe but would really love to see if the test matches what we think they are. Has anyone used one of these tests and were the results what you expected or even remotely accurate?

my breed organization board researched it since accusations of crossbreeding are legion among the preformance winners – its not accurate enough to determine if dog is pure of any breed….the testing labs themselves claim an 80% accuracy …
now for parentage if you have the parents around is fairly accurate and the DNA test for a few diseases are a GODSEND

Question by Harriet: Rescue cat v bought cat?
I have 3 indoor cats, a persian, a ragdoll and a Maine Coon.
I want to have an addition but am scared at how they are gonna react.

I would like to add a rescue persian but this will mean they would be a lot older, maybe with “issues”. How will this translate in reality?

Rescue is a wonderful thing and you will never regret it…..give it a try…you know it’s the right thing to do!

No offence but they’re so boring and pointless. I mean seriously? Why waste time on watching a stupid cat running around the house doing what a cat normally does. What happened those times when people liked those extreme videos or even better funny accidents?

I have always owned mutts and I love my dogs to death no matter what breeds they are but I am curious exactly what breeds they may be. I have an idea of what I think they are and other people may tell me what they think, but I really wonder. Are there are legitimate dog DNA tests out there? I looked up reviews for the wisdom panel insights test and they weren’t so great. It’s not important, but more of a curiosity, also knowing the breeds could help with training and understanding my dogs better! Thanks!

DNA test for a dog… hmmmm. Sounds like a good idea to me. My dog- Endo has the same markings as a cow. I know he is Not Really a cow but he was eating grass the other day.

My cats name is Fizzle…don’t even really know where i got it from..just fit him. A crazy name for a crazy cat.

I have a few questions.

1.How much money will i need to buy bed,food and water bowls,leash,collar and all that?Including Vaccinations (I’m not getting her spayed until 6 months)

2.What is the smartest big dog?And what is the smartest small dog thats easy to train?

I’m getting this puppy when i get the correct supplies so no lectures please.
I already have a Beagle i am just needing to know how much for the supplies and 1st vaccinations nothing else.

You’ll need about 1k (1000$ ) for the first year. Smartest big dog is border collie (I have one), and smartest small dog? I’d say poodle, very easy to train.

I need a website that’s easy to use and that has TONS of cat pictures; pure bread and mutt. Not google, of Photobucket, or Deviantart or any website like that, but one that was spasificly made to post pictures of your cat.

I have a one year old beagle and he is the best dog ever until we have a guest. Then all he wants to do is jump up on them. My father is handicap and coming for christmas dinner and I am scared he will jump on him. What should I do. My dad loves dogs but no one wants them to jump on them. I guess I could answer my own question I should put him in his cage. But he is a good dog after the new wears off.
