  1. No it is not always fatal. Prognosis depends on what kind of cancer it is. Also, not all brain tumors are cancer.

  2. It depends on the type, grade of the tumor, size of the tumor and location. If a child has an astrocytoma, glioblastoma or something similar, it can be exceedingly difficult to deal with.

    If the tumors or cancer is caught early enough it is possible for the child to live a long and healthy life.

    Regardless, there is no book on who will live and who will die. It just is.
