Maybe the first time she's outdoors be out there with her. I've not had a cat have a problem knowing their environment as long as they knew where their next meal is coming from.

Most poeple do agradual change to take no chances. If she was indoors there would be far less chance of her trying to return "home", but she is outdoors, so do yourself a favour and keep her indoors for two weeks, then have one week where you take her outside in your arms once a day and another week where you take her outside on a leash so she gets used to the area, smells, etc.
