My dog is a somewhat fast learner. She knows how to sit but she sometimes has a slow response to this. How do I get her to respond to my command faster. Also, How do I get her to respond to everyone else around me?
Another question is I can’t seem to teach her any other tricks, well I at least I don’t know how to teach her other tricks. How do you teach a dog to lay or shake?

Practice. I if you keep at it and continue training your dog, she should become faster at the command.
Try inviting a friend over to help train your dog, ideally a person that is a stranger to your dog. Once she learns to follow the commands from this "stranger", it will be easier to train her to respond to other people.
To teach a dog to lay down, get a doggy treat and hold it right in front of her nose when she is sitting. Then slowly, making sure her nose follows the treat. Continue moving the treat until she is in the position you desired. Say "Down" or "Lay down" or whatever the command is, and then give her the treat and praise her. Repeat this a few times and then try saying the command with no treat. If she doesn’t respond, keep on trying, she will get it sometime!

Clicker training is the best. My Pug has learnt his tricks VERY fast with the use of a clicker.
Closing a laptop – 10 minutes.
Push self along on a skateboard – 2 weeks
BANG! play dead (Get shot, jump, yelp and fall on side and "die") – 3 days.
It just shows your dog what you approve of in a quick, clear and consistent way.
I recommend the book(s) 51 puppy tricks and 101 dog tricks. I have both and they are very useful. Each trick has photos and a what to expect and troubleshoot section.

There’s a lot factor to your questions. Are you using treats, praises or toys for rewards? There’s at least 2 answers to the question for a slow response.
No rewards: Add rewards to you training. Make sure to give the reward exactly at the right time. For "sit" it would be as soon as the bum is on the ground.
Already using rewards: There are 2 options for slow response when using rewards already. One option reward only when you get a quicker response. Start by rewarding if she is even a little quicker, work your way to the speed you want. Second option is up the ante on the reward. If using treats as rewards, try small pieces of hot dog or cheese. My dog will do anything for cheese.
As far as getting her to response to other people. Practice. Other people have to give her commands. Having other people use rewards will help.
For lay (I call it "Down"): Start with sit, then put a treat in front of her face and slowly move it down to the ground. As soon as her tummy is on the ground, get her the treat.
Lots of information. I hope this helps!
