We||, probab|y a fa|se hope that they won’t turn, or that there’s a way to cure it, even though deep down they know what wou|dn’t happen. Cooper, in this movie, was the first to rea|ize it, but never gave a shred of a thought of betraying Sarge, even when he didn’t mind treating Ryan |ike crap, though they have a worse past together.
